For professionals there may come a time when they have to act as a crisis worker in the event at a child or adult discloses sexual abuse. In this workshop we aim to dispel the myths and bring you the facts involved when working with this client group.

Victims of sexual abuse and rape can experience many negative consequences. Sexual abuse is very traumatic and difficult to process. We will discuss how to create a safe space for victims to process their unanswered questions and unresolved issues, as well as how to help them find coping strategies for symptoms they are suffering such as anxiety and flashbacks.
