Training workshop in how to work with Bereavement
Loss and grief are fundamental aspects of human existence and have a profound effect on all of us at various times in our lives. In addition to the death of a loved one where coping with grief can be extremely difficult and painful we encounter many losses on a daily basis, such as Divorce, Disability, Job loss, redundancy, illness, disability, Menopause, the ageing process, the list is endless.
We often do not get to give permission for these endings and transitions or realise what debilitating effect these, all too common experiences, have on us. We do, however, often find ourselves left picking up the pieces and muddling through the best way we know how.
The training today will be looking at these types of transitions and endings and how we can process these losses and grief more adequately. We will look at giving a clear explanation of loss and bereavement issues, including complicated grief and some of the factors that impact grief and the grieving process. We will also look at how best to support children through their grieving and look at how this differs to adults.
This will be done in a safe, supportive, experiential space. This workshop is suitable for all those who wish to gain more confidence in working with this client group or for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the grieving process, to enable them to better support their loved ones.
